Missy Schreiner

Balance. Power. Connection. Timing. These are the things that Missy obsesses and geeks out about, in golf and in life.

Missy took up golf in the early '80s, turned pro in 1995 when going through LPGA Tour qualifying, and passed the PGA PAT in 2003. Earning her B.S. from UCLA in 1992, her M.A. and joint Ph.D. from CU-Boulder in 1996 and 2002 respectively, and her Black Belt in Ki Aikido in 2016, Missy apparently really likes to train.

She spent ten years as an assistant pro and leading golf instructor at Indian Peaks, then in 2018 she joined The Broadlands staff and was promoted to 1st Assistant. Missy was the Head Girls Golf Coach at Peak to Peak Charter School from 2010 to 2018. In 2018 she took the helm as Head Golf Coach for both the boys and the girls at Jefferson Academy.

In addition to being a golf pro, Missy is a Senior Usability Engineer who has helped companies like IBM, PeopleSoft and Victoria's Secret improve the design of their products and processes, making them more efficient and user-friendly. In research settings, she specializes in human performance, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, and big data (can you say, hard-core geek?). Missy created and directed the highly successful Children's Ki Aikido program in Boulder from 2010 to 2013, and still occasionally runs self-defense classes for interested students.

Missy loves swapping stories -- come see her in the shop if you've got some to share.
